Cold Matcha Latte

Cold Matcha Latte

A refreshing take on the classic — smooth, chilled, and perfect for warm days.

With just a few ingredients and a couple of steps, you can enjoy a naturally vibrant iced matcha latte at home.
It’s a simple yet satisfying way to pause and cool down — no matter how busy your day is.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 tsp matcha powder (3g)
  • 1 oz / 30 ml hot water
  • 5 oz / 150 ml milk (cow’s milk or plant-based)
  • 1 tsp powdered brown sugar (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Step 1
Sift the matcha(1.5 tsp matcha powder) into a cup using a spoon to break up any clumps.

Step 2
Add hot water(1 oz / 30 ml). If using sugar or syrup, add it now. Stir well until the matcha is completely dissolved.

Step 3
Fill a glass with ice and pour in the chilled milk.

Step 4
Gently pour the matcha mixture over the milk.

Tips

  • Shizune Matcha brings out the natural richness of tea. You may find a hint of pleasant bitterness — feel free to balance it with sugar or syrup to your liking.
  • To create a beautiful two-layered latte (as seen in the photos), add 0.3 oz (10 ml) of syrup into the milk before pouring in the matcha.(step 4)
  • Cold drinks taste less sweet than hot ones. Consider using more sugar or syrup than you would for a hot latte.
  • For a bolder matcha flavor, increase to 2 tsp (4g) of matcha powder.
